Healing Roots is a Psychotherapy service, focusing on trauma treatment. It was established to provide excellent care to children, adolescents, adults and families who have lived through traumatic experiences. Using Systemic Psychotherapy, EMDR and Play Therapy,  care is given to facilitating healing at a pace led by the person accessing the service.

Each person who is seen by Healing Roots is seen as a resilient and self-healing being, who is guided along their process of healing and change, at the pace that they decide. We provide resources and support for parents whose children are accessing the service. We deeply respect the efforts people make to approach services and aim to make the process of accessing a service as easy as possible.

Although the waiting list is full at the moment, feel free to contact to seek resources or recommendations, or have a look at the resources page.

We are so aware of the lack of appropriate services for the needs that exist in this area. Healing Roots is in the process of expanding, adding therapists from around the country, who are skilled and experienced in working with relational and developmental trauma.

If you need to know anything further, feel free to contact us through the I have a question or contact page.

"I have come to the conclusion that human beings are born with an innate capacity to triumph over trauma. I believe not only that trauma is curable, but that the healing process can be a catalyst for profound awakening- a portal opening to emotional and genuine spiritual transformation."
